Exploring post-16 opportunities at the Excel Careers Fair
Students from Year 11 at Mayesbrook Park Campus visited the Excel Centre for the London Schools & College Leaver Festival 2025, a careers fair designed to help young people explore post-16 opportunities.
The event gave learners the chance to speak directly with colleges and training providers, gather information and take away leaflets and prospectuses. Some providers offered interactive experiences, which students particularly enjoyed. The visit offered valuable insight into the variety of courses available across London, helping students broaden their choices when planning their next steps.
While students appreciated meeting and speaking with providers, some suggested the exhibition could have been more practical, with subject-specific information displayed to give a deeper understanding of their chosen courses.
