Bringing history to life at The London Dungeons
Students from Erkenwald Campus, recently enjoyed a memorable reward trip to the London Dungeons, where history was brought to life through an immersive and interactive experience.
Through live actors, detailed sets, and engaging storytelling, students explored key moments in British history, including the Great Plague and the Great Fire of London. This helped to deepen their understanding of historical events allowing them to better grasp the experiences of people living at the time and strengthening their ability to recall and interpret key facts.
The visit also supported English learning, exposing students to storytelling. Many students were inspired by how atmosphere and language can be used to engage an audience, supporting their own creative work back in the classroom.
In addition to curriculum learning, the trip encouraged confidence, resilience, and teamwork. Students supported one another throughout the day and demonstrated maturity when engaging with more intense or dramatic moments.
