KS3 students explore creativity at Valence House Museum
KS3 students from Mayesbrook Park Campus recently enjoyed an inspiring visit to Valence House Museum, where they explored an interactive exhibition created by local artists and young people from across the borough.
The visit included a private viewing of the exhibition, giving students the opportunity to experience a diverse range of artwork and learn more about the creative process. They also took part in a hands-on workshop led by a professional artist, where they experimented with different techniques and created their own pieces of art.
The experience encouraged students to express their creativity, build confidence and develop a greater appreciation for art and the work of local artists.
Reflecting on the visit, Demi said: ‘It was very nice and enjoyable. I liked creating my own art.’
Loreta added: ‘It was very intriguing and fun to experience. I learned a lot about the place and different aspects of art.’
The trip was a fantastic opportunity for students to explore their creativity in a supportive environment while experiencing the work of artists from their own local community.
