In a recent trip by students from Mayesbrook, Year 10 students participated in a workshop organised by RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects).
On October 13th, students delve into the world of architecture, sustainability, and building materials. Guided by their enthusiasm for sustainable design, they fashioned 3D models using recycled materials. This engaging experience was made possible through collaboration with Katie Kennedy, a designer and workshop artist.
Reflecting on their visit, the students expressed their enthusiasm and appreciation for the RIBA workshop, highlighting its educational value and the creative inspiration it offered.
The group worked with Katie Kennedy, designer and workshop artist who said: 'The students produced some fantastic creative models inspired by sustainability and the RIBA building and were a credit to Mayesbrook. It was an absolute pleasure to work with everyone.'
