Maths Teachers Explore Pioneering Architecture with students using 3D Pens at RIBA
Maths teachers Kobina and Lambrina embarked on an innovative journey into architecture at RIBA on Friday 15 March 2024 with students from Mayesbrook Park School. Venturing beyond traditional teaching methods, they delved into the world of 3D pens, with students crafting pioneering architectural designs.
Reflecting on the experience, Mayesbrook Park School student ED said: ‘I had fun using the 3-D pen to create a house. I really love it here at RIBA. ‘RH echoed this sentiment, adding: ‘This is fun! I have learned about Art and Design with 3-D pen. I made my own name.’
MR appreciated the modern ambiance of RIBA, stating: ‘I like it here at RIBA. It's a modern place and I did an amazing activity." Meanwhile, ZS marvelled at the creative possibilities, commenting: ‘It is amazing to draw shapes like square, rectangles, pyramids, cubes using my 3-D pen.’
YA encapsulated the event, saying: ‘A beautiful place. I learned how to create maths shapes with the pen. It's beautiful!’
The collaboration between teachers and students at RIBA exemplifies the coming together of education, innovation, and creativity, fostering an environment where learning transcends conventional boundaries.
