Adventure, teamwork and personal growth
In December 2024, students from Key Stage 3 and 4 at MPC campus took part in an exciting residential trip to Stubbers Adventure Centre. This two-day experience offered students the chance to develop essential life skills, build resilience, and foster stronger relationships with peers across different year groups.
The residential, which included outdoor and adventurous activities, helped students step outside their comfort zones while encouraging independence and teamwork.
For some students, this was their first residential experience. Tyrell, Year 9, said: ‘Before coming to MPC, I had never been on a residential before, and my behaviour meant that this was my second one at MPC! It’s amazing to try new sports and activities, but it’s also interesting to ask the people that work there how they got into it. It’s something I’d look into in the future. Thank you, Hannah, Kimone, and Julie, for an amazing trip. It was funny seeing Kimone on the high ropes!”
This trip was particularly valuable for Year 11 students as they prepare to leave, offering one last chance to strengthen bonds with younger students. It left all participants with lasting memories, increased confidence, and improved self-care and problem-solving skills.
